Open Days will be held on
Saturday 5 July (Sma’ Shot Day) and Saturday 13 September (Doors Open Day).
On both days we need volunteers to help in the Cloister Café, stewards for
the Abbey and assistants for the shop. On Sma’Shot Day we also need people
to help at the stall in Abbey Close. We are looking for books, DVDs and
CDs to sell at the stall.
If you have never helped at
one of our Open Days this could be your opportunity to do so as we are
always looking for new volunteers who would be made most welcome.
On Doors Open day in
September we open the Place of Paisley and extra stewards are required
there.
If you are able to help on
any of these dates please complete the tear off slip elsewhere in the Herald
and return it to Robin Craig or the Abbey office.
The Saturday morning
Cloister Café will close after Sma’Shot Day for the months of July and
August to give our helpers a well earned break! Thanks to all who help and
support the café each Saturday morning. The Cloister Café will resume on
Saturday 6 September.
The Abbey, Gift Shop and
Coffee Shop will be open as usual during the summer months. It is always
very difficult to staff the shop and church during the holiday period If you
have any spare time to help in the shop or steward in the Abbey please let
Ann Hannah (0141 889 5879) or Pat Noble (01505 612025) know when you would
be available. New volunteers are urgently required. They will be
made most welcome and training will be provided. Many thanks to the
volunteers who work throughout the year to provide a welcome to visitors and
also help make the shop such a success.
